Through the Eyes of Your Inner Child

If you’re still for long enough,
They will come to you,
Nature will fall into your lap,
And embrace you,
Reminding you that you’ve always belonged,
Somewhere, in the intricate web of existence
The birds will wait patiently for you,
As if they understand your worldly distractions
They will call to you, in their happy tunes,
“Come out, we are waiting”
“Come home, Remember?”
The leaves will dance in the wind,
As if to greet you,
Dappled light, you are now kissed by sunlight,
As the warmth enters your soul,
A forest chorus whispers,
“Be gentle with yourself, dear one”
“Our arms are always open for you”
You will marvel at the beauty,
And be amazed at Life, forever renewing,
God’s blueprint of perfection,
Bursting in every vein of every leaf,
Echoed in every cell of every body,
In each miraculous design, of specie upon specie
Here there is only oneness,
And peaceful co-existence
At last, you have left the grown-up world behind,
And returned again,
To the miracle of the natural world,
To see, once again, with awe-like wonder,
Through the eyes of your inner child
